How to use a black candle to banish a hex

Black candles can be used for the positive purpose of burning away spiritual attacks against you. If you’re reading this post it’s because you saw the title and were curious or because you’ve been feeling off and intuitively you know that it’s due to the negative intentions of someone else. To destroy spiritual attacks against you, anoint your black candle with a jinx breaker or hex breaker oil.

If you don’t have a hex breaker oil for anointing but feel the need to burn your candle right away, you can make your own oil for anointing if you have salt, dried rosemary, oil, and a fresh lemon on hand. Making anointing oil, also referred to as blessing or consecrating oil, is an act that turns standard oil into a great spiritual symbol and tool. The process is fairly straightforward but you must keep in mind the purpose of the oil as you make it. In this case, the purpose of the oil is to bless the candle with the power to burn away any type of negative energy affecting you (hex/someone’s negative intentions/negative energy you picked up unintentionally). Place 1/4 cup olive oil or vegetable oil into a disposable cup, add 1 teaspoon of salt (for cleansing of spirits), 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary (for cleansing of general negative energy), and 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice (to cut ties from negative people). Stir. Put your hands in a prayer position 🙏  and recite psalm 54 three times with the Divine Energy you follow in mind. You do not have to be a part of a specific religion to use this prayer. We are using it because it has been recited so much by so many throughout time, it carries power. Place your right hand over the cup and ask the Divine Energy that you pray to, to bless the oil that it may fulfill its purpose to break the hex affecting you.

Anoint the candle from bottom to top, with the candle pointed away from you. Anoint the whole candle, turning it after each stroke of oil until it’s completely covered.  

Place the candle in a candle holder, light the candle, put your hands in prayer position 🙏  and recite psalm 54 three times with the Divine Energy you follow in mind. Visualize yourself saying this prayer to that Divine Being and afterward, ask that Being to bless this candle that it may fulfill its purpose to cleanse you of the negativity from this attack.

Leave the candle in its holder to burn out in a fireproof container.
