Today we will look at what are spiritual vibrations, what it means to vibrate at a higher frequency, and how to raise your vibration to rid yourself of negative energies. (basically… Accessing Spiritual Energy 102 – see 101 here)
What are spiritual vibrations?
The concept of spiritual vibrations is based on the idea that all matter in the universe is made up of energy that vibrates.
This includes everything – you, your pets, your house, your favorite material possessions, food, liquids, everything made of matter. We’re all just energy vibrating at a certain frequency.
According to scientific theory concluded by physicists in 1905, it could be said that all matter is energy which is vibrating. We also know that when two entities with energy interact, they vibrate in harmony or discord.
It’s like when you meet someone and you automatically like them or hate them. Coming in contact with the person causes your energies to interact and if your energies are at similar frequencies you’ll like one another right away or if they are at completely opposite frequencies, you’ll dislike one another either way.
Also, we can’t forget the “midway energies” in this example. If Person A is working on raising their energy’s frequency and meets Person B who is already vibrating at a high frequency, Person A’s frequency will positively increase. It’s the same for the negative side. If Person C is feeling depressed or upset and is hanging around Person D whose energy is already vibrating at a low frequency and isn’t interested in improving their energy (completely satisfied with thinking its everyone else’s fault and the world is against them and has no consideration for others), Person D will drag Person C down with them.
Like attracts like – and everything is connected. This means that the frequency at which you are vibrating affects things external to you too, attracting more of the same… this may be what the saying “when it rains, it pours” refers to. If we’re constantly feeling life sucks, we will attract more sucky things to our lives. When we become more optimistic, we attract more opportunities.
I’ve personally experienced this many times. I remember when I was in my late teens I picked up this saying from my friends “life sucks and then you die”. I carried that saying into my mid-20s and then I somehow found my way to the Divine and I stopped saying it. And my life changed drastically. Of course, I didn’t notice it at the time, but hindsight… oh hindsight.
What does it mean to vibrate at a high frequency?
Each vibration has a frequency. When it comes to spiritual vibrations, it’s said that these frequencies occur on a scale from low to high:
- Lower frequency vibrations – are produced by negativity. Any time you feel anxiety, anger, fear, jealousy or hatred you are producing low-frequency vibrations. These low, heavy vibrations drag you down.
- Higher frequency vibrations – are produced by positivity. Any time you feel love, sympathy, confidence, gratitude, awe or kinship you are producing high-frequency vibrations. These light, bouncing vibrations make you feel more energetic and cheerful.
One of the ideas usually tied to spiritual vibration theory is that higher frequencies are – in a sense – more powerful than lower ones. The higher the frequency of the vibration, the closer you are to the Divine.
This means that when raising your vibration, you can wipe out lower-frequency vibrations with high-frequency ones.
How to measure human vibrational frequency
Learning how to measure human vibrational frequency is simple. Your feelings are like an internal frequency barometer. This means to determine your own vibrational frequency, all you need to do is answer one question:
How are you feeling right now?
Generally positive
If you are feeling anywhere from fairly good to outright positive, you are vibrating at a higher frequency.
Following the theory of spiritual vibrations above, this means you would be more likely to find positivity in your outside life too.
This might mean you find more opportunities, meet better people and form better relationships.
Generally negative
If you are feeling low, you are vibrating at a lower frequency.
Again, according to the theory of spiritual vibration, you are more likely to attract negative situations.
This might include poor relationships and coming into contact with worse situations.
Objective Measurement of Frequency
Scientists have developed instruments that can measure the energy and vibration of people by using special “cameras” that read the electric values that your body is emitting. By measuring these values, they are able to find objective results for subjective states described above, making the whole theory of spiritual vibrations scientifically validated.
GDV Energy testing is a special technique that has been developed in conjunction with meridians from Chinese medicine to find the exact energetic footprint of a person. It is said that the results are astounding when energy can be seen visually in numbers and images.
How to raise your vibration’s frequency
There are many things that you can do to “raise your frequency.” You will see for yourself how many of them fall in line with smart practices to boost your well-being.
Some of the most effective ways to raise your vibration are said to be:
1) Practice personal mindfulness internally
Whether you do it through yoga, meditation, or another discipline, a little mindfulness can go a long way to giving your vibration a boost.
The place to start is within yourself:
You can’t stop yourself from thinking. But can you identify any negative trends in your thoughts?
If so, you might consider experimenting with methods of forgiveness and letting go. Otherwise, your thoughts and the words or actions they produce will vibrate at lower frequencies, dragging you down further.
2) Practice personal mindfulness externally
If you spend a lot of time talking about other people, complaining, and explaining how you’re not good enough, you are generating low-quality vibrations which will affect your surroundings.
If you notice that you are constantly expressing your negative thoughts, it is time to consider actions you can take to stop them from being such a presence in your life.
3) Pay attention to other people and places
What sort of spiritual vibrations do you think the people with who you regularly spend time give off?
Would you say they are positive types who constantly give you energy with their sunny dispositions?
Or are they negative people who are creating a toxic environment and bringing you down?
If certain people are definitely the latter, it may be time to consider reducing the time you spend with them and finding ways to protect yourself from these vibrations. Otherwise, their vibrations will be like an anchor holding you down. Gemstones and crystals can help to deflect and/or transmute these energies. Here are 21 gemstones for protection.
The same is true of places. If things or locations make you feel unhappy or remind you of the past, it might be time for a change of scenery.
4) Pay attention to yourself
It’s no good trying to get good vibrations out of a broken machine. You need to treat your body right in order to help it vibrate at higher frequencies.
You can start by eating high vibration foods. These are pretty much anything natural and healthy. Search for a few basic recipes which rely on healthy, natural fruit and vegetables.
The other side of this coin is sleep and exercise. You need to make sure you are getting enough of both.
You should also pay attention to things like extra work and social commitments. Specifically those sort of things you really want to say “no” to, but end up accepting anyway.
Listen to your body. Sometimes it’s okay to say “no” to get a little “you” time.
5) Get out into nature
Touted as a beneficial thing to do if you are depressed or anxious and for healthy living in general, you can’t beat getting out into nature for boosting the frequency of your spiritual vibrations.
Whether you’re jogging in your closest green space or going for a barefoot walk along a beach, spending a bit of time in nature – especially if you’re moving around while doing it – will only be a benefit to you.
Some people refer to the process of moving around outside in nature as “earthing”, a process that helps to raise vibrations by charging your body with energy from the Earth and the natural world around us.
6) Enjoy yourself – and say thank you when you do!
The more fun you’re having – whatever this means to you – the more you are likely to be raising your spiritual vibrational frequency.
Appreciate the little and not-so-little things in life and be grateful for whatever you have. Even when you’ve had to suffer through negative situations, it’s possible – sometimes with a lot of work – to be grateful for the ways they have helped you to become a better person.
When it comes to how to raise your vibration, you can’t do much better than expressing gratitude for the things you’re thankful for.
